march jams.
Ive been on a SERIOUS Sade Adu vibration recently. If it isn't a bit of Joao Giberto's, 'S Wonderful or some Soulful Afro House, it has been Sade and a few other gems that I've shared in my march jams playlist here. I definitely feel its another connection to all of the rain we've had, at the beginning of this month. This playlist has been a real part of the mood its put me in.
Sade's In Another Time puts me in a space where I envision myself dancing in a dim lit room filled with an African inspired decor. I'm somewhere tropical and it is raining outside. The room has no walls but a thatched roof that provides all the shelter I need. I am healthy, I am happy, I am loved. And being watched from across the room by someone who admires me dearly. They smile ever so slightly. Enjoying my joy and folly.
This feeling keeps me coming for more. It helps me explore the feelings I associate with those small moments, the visualization of my womanhood. I want to know that woman dancing. She is incredibly beautiful. She is enjoying the small moments with tunes that feed her mind, body, and soul. I hope the vibes I've been on this month can take you to places like this or allow you to just enjoy the spaces you are already in.
